2017  Ron King's "Kingsmen" Perform at the Towson Orchard Market & Cafe

Chesapeake Region member Ron King, better known in the Club for his award-winning 1985 Buick Riviera W-15, recently showed off his other passion: music -- when he performed with his fellow "Kingsmen" band members at the Orchard Market & Cafe, a popular Towson-area Persian Restaurant.

The lighting was dim, so unfortunately many of the following photographs are dark, but the music certainly brightened up the place.

The "Kingsmen" from left to right are drummer Ron King, keyboardist and vocal stylist Bobby Morris, and woodwind instrumentalist, guitarist, harmonicist, composer and arranger Stan Rouse.

Bobby Morris, belted out songs from the 40s through the 70s.
Versatile Stan Rouse, among other selections, played a rousing edition of Boots Randolph's Yakety Sax.

Drummer Ron kept the place jumping behind his colorful drum set, occasionally performing a "drum roll" to accompany Stan's corny jokes.

At our Club's May membership meeting, Ron issued an open invitation for all members to attend the Thursday night event. Knowing Ron only as an "antique car guy" passionate about his award-winning 1985 Buick Riviera, our curosity was piqued.

As a result, eight members of the Club attended the event, and were quite impressed with both the performance, and the food.

After the show, Ron came over to greet his fellow Club members. We all enjoyed the evening and thanked Ron for his invitation, and Orchard Market & Cafe for hosting the event.
Here's hoping Ron's "Kingsmen" become a Wednesday "Music Night" regular at The Orchard Market & Cafe!
