2020 AACA Special Fall Nationals at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania
On November 7th 2020, the sun shone brightly upon the AACA Special Fall Nationals, held at the expansive Wyndham Hotel complex in historic Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
Antique vehicles, many transported to the Gettysburg Wyndham site in enclosed trailers, were carefully unloaded and driven to their pre-assigned display locations by dawn.
Volunteers, including many from the Chesapeake Region, were on-site very early to help direct arriving vehicles to their pre-assigned parking lot.
The parade of entering vehicles attracted many spectators, obviously enjoying the sight.
Drivers were directed to line up for entry by whether they had previously received their registration documentation by mail, or were picking it up upon arrival. All went smoothly!
Some vehicles were obviously headed for the Historic Preservation of Original Features (HPOF) display area. That area always contains some real crowd-pleasing vehicles.
Other vehicles, often restored to pristine condition, are directed to their assigned special display areas such as "Lot B" on the lawn adjacent to the Wyndham Hotel entrance.
The paved parking lot areas were the display locations for most of the vehicles.
Visitors wandered the many parking isles to view the extensive display of vehicles.

Demonstrating what can be accomplished in short order with dedicated volunteer participation, the AACA 2020 Special Fall Nationals will go down in AACA history as a great achievement during a very difficult time. The event was well planned and well executed -- with warm, colorful fall weather adding that final "icing on the cake."
