2020 Antique Car Breakfast Cruise-in - Sunshine Grille - Fork Maryland
Chesapeake Region was finally able to schedule its annual antique car event at the Sunshine Grille on Saturday, August 15th.
At opening time, the restaurant and surrounding parking lot were filled to capacity. The only absentee was the "sunshine"!
This year, rather than promoted as an antique car show, we publicized the event as an antique car breakfast cruise-in.
Turnout was tremendous: over 40 vehicles were eventually displayed on the show field.
Many attendees brought chairs and assembled in groups to enjoy the day together.
Buick was well represented.

The date of our car event: August 15th 2020, coincided with the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II.
Known also as V-J Day (Victory over Japan Day), it commemorates the day on which Imperial Japan surrendered in World War II.
Commemorating the occasion was the car show participant who brought his 1941(?) Studebaker Commander
Gone were the 1930s era "running boards" and the ill-named Studebaker model "Dictator"
Studebaker production unfortunately ceased in 1966, despite a valiant effort to compete in the emerging small-car market.
Surely Paula, our Chesapeake Region President would love to be driving the "Little Deuce Coupe", home from the show... but "power shifting" will need to wait for a bit more healing!
