2022 Tour of the Hershey Antique Automobile Museum
Following our visit to the AACA Headquarters and Library, we all gathered at Funck's Restaurant for a nice lunch, before heading off to our second Hershey stop: the nearby Antique Automobile Museum. .
Many of us have been here before, but the displays of automotive history are eye candy to the antique automobile enthusiasts among us.
As AACA members, we were all given free entry, afterwhich we dispersed throughout the museum looking at all the displays.
What an era of beautiful vehicles the 1950s and 1960s were.
This Chrysler Corporation beauty deserved a closer look.
Automobile stylists were in their glory as the mid-1950s unleashed their creative talents.
As classy as its previous owner, Betty White's 1980s Cadillac Seville has a prominent display at the museum.
Member John reads all about it.
A well-deserved tribute to legendary Betty White.
It sure looks real... but this is a display of a Tucker automobile prop, built for the movie: Tucker - a great story.
Tucker - the man and his dream. This Tucker museum display was made possible through the contribution of Dave Cammack an avid collector of all things "Tucker" during his lifetime. He graciously contributed his extensive collection to the museum.
Members Tom and Gary discuss the design mockup display before them.
Barbara tests out a display of the Tucker's unique center swiveling headlight.
Where have all the colorful cars gone?
It's so good to have a place where we can look back at our American bus transportation history.
And, what a beautiful example of an elegant bus design.
Who wouldn't want to take a ride in this beauty... or better yet drive it?
A nice example of a neon auto dealership sign.
I have one of those model GG-1 locomotives that used to run the electrified Pennsylvania Railroad line.
And all of us over a certain age remember the notorious drive-in theater memorialized here in the museum's popular model train display.
